The Swoosh and Californian skateshop Atlas are revisiting the SB Dunk High with inspiration from the so-called “ Great Shoe Spill of 1990 “. The storm in the late 1990s caused the loss of more than 60,000 pairs of Nike shoes when a ship sailed from Korea to the US. Some Air Flight 89s were found washed up on the California coast…

The Nike SB Dunk High Atlas Lost at Sea (2020) features an off-white upper on the base with blue contrast on the Swoosh, outsole and ankle collar. Cracked suede and a distressed midsole matched to the cream-coloured laces mimic the condition the pair found themselves in after being adrift for months in the ocean. The tongue is the same as on the Air Flight 89 , with the recognisable typography, here showing “Nike SB Atlas”.

An original design and a nod to the event that left its mark on the minds of enthusiasts, this iteration extends the range of Dunk for the pleasure of the community!
